I love to scrapbook and to do crafty projects. It is my therapy. It is an outlet for me to be creative. Doing so helps me relax and keeps me sane. I wish I could get paid in doing what I love to do. Since I love to scrapbook and be crafty, I figure why not show what I create.

Sketch Challenge

I completed a sketch challenge from Creative Scrappers.  Below is the sketch I used to create my LO.

Now here is my LO.  The pictures were from my husband's 30th birthday party.  I invited our family and friends over to surprise him.  He didn't have a clue.  What really threw him off was that we had it a week after his birthday.  He had a great time!

Materials I used:

Paper by The Paper Studio
Buttons
Used the Cricut for the title using the font from Lyrical Letters

Mini Album Project

Well I finally finished my mini album project made from chipboard.  I have never done one before.  I was prompted to work on one since I challenged a couple of my great scrappin friends to do a similar project.  As a Christmas gift I gave them both a chipboard mini album.  They both were thrilled and looked at me wondering what were they going to do with it.  So for a while I am sure they didn't think much of it until I challenged them to make something out of it.  I suggested to create an album about anything they loved since Valentine's day is coming soon.  Well they went off with their own ideas and told me that I should do one myself.  Well luckily I had a chipboard album but was different from theirs.  It was one I had for a while and didn't know what to do with it either.  So I went ahead with the project but went in a different direction, somewhat.  It is about love but it is more like a family album. (Of course I do love my family so it has both themes in one.) Well one of my friends, Erica, finished hers too and it turned out awesome.  I can't wait to see how my other friend, Alicia, did with her album.  Come on Alicia finish up.
Most of the items I used for this album was from Nikki Sivils.  I used her 'Tree' chipboard album and her coordinating paper line called 'My Sweet Cherry Pie'.  I like how it turned out.  I won't mind trying out another chipboard album again soon.

Well on to the next project.  Working on a sketch challenge.

Organizing

Man it's been so long.  Time went by so fast with Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and going back to school for the kids.  It's been none stop over here.  Well needless to say, I haven't done much since the last post.  I have been twitching to get back into my scrapbooking and other things.  Recently I have been trying to do better in organizing myself with my scrapbooking items especially organizing LOs.  I am meeting up with my scrapbooking girlfriends for our monthly day crop next week and am trying to have some LOs prepared so I can get a lot done when I meet up with them.  I usually don't get that many LOs done with them because they distract me (in a good way) and we are a chattery bunch.  HA!!!  I love them and would feel strange doing crops without them.  They are my required company.  Well below I have a picture of my organization of my photos with coordinating paper and sketches.  Hopefully this will speed up the cropping process for me.
